American Legion Post 318, the Post Auxiliary, Sons and Riders are proud to sponsor this very important program.
Regardless of what your political affiliation is or whether or not you feel our involvement in the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan are necessary, it is the young men and women serving our country that need and deserve our support.
Post 318's Support Our Troops fund is used to send military phone cards and AAFES gift cards about six times a year to our local troops and family of Post 318 members that are serving in hostile areas.  A personal note is included with each card letting them know we are behind them and appreciate their sacrifices and service to our country.

No matter how many come home we always seem to have between fifteen and twenty local men and women on our list.
The Post has received a wonderful response from the troops who have received the gifts.  Many have sent us an e-mail expressing their appreciation and have included pictures of themselves, some of which are posted here and on the bulletin board in the Post Canteen.  One young man sent us an American flag that was flown in our honor over a palace in Baghdad they were occupying.  Several have also stopped by the Post to say Thank You in person.
Our troops need and deserve our support.  All monetary donations are greatly appreciated and 100% of the funds received are used for
