Post Service Officer

The Post Service Officer (PSO) helps our post members receive information and assistance about veteran's benefits. The PSO is not an accredited representative of the American Legion or the Veterans Administration (VA) but is our post's contact for information.
Every case is different and the benefits, rules and laws are always changing.  Professional service officers at ST. Lucie County Veteran Services Office provide counseling and assistance in order to establish VA benefits under Federal and State laws which may result in monetary gain and  medical care. They also provide van transportation for scheduled medical appointments to West Palm Beach VA Medical Center and many other programs.
I recommend all members check out the assistance available at St. Lucie County Veteran Services Office, at 1664 S. E. Walton Road, Port St. Lucie or at their satellite office located at 437 North 7th Street, Ft. Pierce.  At times they are very busy helping veterans so it is advisable to give them a call and arrange an appointment if at all possible.  They can be reached at (772)337-5670.

 Bottom Line

At our post we have the ability to help not only our members but others in our community.  First we try to make sure the person gets help from sources available. Second we do what we can to solve the problem ourselves. If you or you know of someone that needs assistance, come to a meeting or contact myself or any of the officers at the post.

Post 318 Service Officer
